About the Bride

Marina grew up in Tver, a city near Moscow, Russia. While growing up, Marina loved to build forts around the house and play with her collection of dolls, pretending it's their home. During her childhood she was lucky enough to be living on the outskirts of the city, so she was always free to play outside with her friends in the nearby fields or playgrounds. As Marina got old enough to sew, she would love to design and make small dresses for her dolls; therefore it's no surprise that Marina decided to make her own Wedding Dress.

While completing her University Baccalaureate, during the summers she loved working as a train stewardess. Although this job may not have been easy, Marina loved the travelling aspect of it and the fact that she would spend a lot of her summer days by the Black Sea in Sochi, while the train was being prepared for the next trip across Russia.

In 2008, Marina met Konrad at a friend's Birthday party. At this time, Marina spoke mostly French and Russian and very little English, but they still managed to find ways to communicate with each other combining various different languages to express their feelings. The rest is part of another story.

Marina's Interests and Hobbies

In the past few years, one of Marina's favorite pass time winter activities is Snowboarding (Konrad may have had a bit of an influence there). It's been a rough beginning since the first time Konrad was teaching her, she broke her wrist. But that didn't stop her and now she can almost easily tackle diamond hills in Tremblant, and she's loving it.

In the summer Marina loves to go biking or going to a beach and swimming. She also loves going camping with friends, and recently she has discovered the great joy of white water rafting.

Of course Marina loves to travel and explore the world. She loves getting into a car with Konrad and going on various road trips, whether they're only 100 km or as long as 6,000 km. To date, Marina's favorite spot is a secret beach on a blue lagoon in Ibiza, which Konrad and her discovered on their cross-Europe trip last year.
